Have you even put in a resume in a job portal but it doesn’t get everything right?
This is how to fix it.
Best Practices
The trick is making your resume in a word processor. For example, software like Microsoft Word, Apple Pages and Google Docs are great for this.
Use the charts function to put your experience in separate columns so the job portal can read it. You can make the chart not visible so, you won’t be able to see it on the page. Make sure you export it into a PDF file.
Softwares like Photoshop and Canva are not made for job portal resumes. They make your resume into an image that is put on a PDF file. If you are going to use Adobe software, use Indesign.
Indesign is made for writing and making books. When you export it, make sure you export it into an interactive PDF. You want to make sure that it is readable.
